The Soilmec SC130 double-wheeled will be the protagonist of the work on the Piazza Venezia station of the Rome Metro Line C.

The double-wheeled groove milling machine built for the Line C metro will be used to build the station concourse diaphragm wall and reach a record depth of 85 meters.

The Double Wheel Slot Milling Machine is a massive machine that combines technology and design to speed up the work. This machine has been adapted to reduce the radius of gyration, allowing it to operate in confined spaces and reducing ground noise and vibration.

After more than 320 kilometers and 12 transports from Cesena, including 4 special transports, the machine finally arrived at Piazza Venezia, where it was assembled and tested for a unique challenge.
